Lightning Announces 2012 Coaching Staff

Head Coach - Myron Selby

The Lightning is proud to announce that Myron Selby will transition to Head Coach the 2012 season. Myron was on the Lightning staff in 2011 and has been elevated to Head Coach going forward.

A native of Delaware, Myron played collegiately at Delaware State University as an offensive tackle. Myron competed in camp with the Cleveland Browns before returning home to Harrisburg to join the Harrisburg Patriots at the minor league football level.

After several years of playing at the minor league level, coach selby began his coaching career with the South Central Yard Dawgs as an offensive line coach and assisstant head coach. In 2010 Myron coached offensive line for the Harrisburg Stampede (Indoor football) of the American Indoor Football Association. Myron has his bachelors in business management and is currently pursuing his degree in sports management. Myron resides in Steelton with his wife Jodi and his youngest son Austin

Offensive Coordinator - Chris Lamon

Chris Lamon has been appointed Offensive Coordinator. Chris was a 1991 graduate of Harrisburg High School, where he was a three year lettermen as a wide receiver and defensive back. A Big 33 nominee, Chris competed collegiately at Lackawanna College prior to joining the minor league football ranks. Chris became a starting wide receiver and won a national championship at the minor league level.

Chris has coached at Harrisburg High School since 1999 and assissted Coach Selby with the professional indoor team Harrisburg Stampede. Chris resides in Harrisburg with his wife Cynthia and three children Christian, Hamlet, and Selah.

Defensive Coordinator - Justin Coble

Justin Coble has been named defensive coordinator. Prior to joining the Lightning, Justin began his coaching career at the minor league level in central Pa. He is currently in his 2nd year as Defensive Coordinator of the Harrisburg Stampede.

The energetic Coble is highly regarded as one of the up and coming young coaches in central Pa. Originally from Montgomery County, Justin now resides in Harrisburg with his wife, Liane and daughter Cassandra.

Special Teams Coordinator - Rick Steigerwalt

Rick Steigerwalt has been named special teams coordinator. Rick is a graduate of Pottstown High School. Following high school graduation, Rick served in the United States Army and National Guard until 2003. Rick has been coaching in the Conrad Weiser School District, assisting at all levels, since 2001. In addition, Rick also coachs wrestling and softball in the district. This is Rick's second season with the Lightning.

Rick works with 'At Risk Teens' in the Juvenile Justice System  and is Co-Chair of a mentor program of the 'Live the Dream' Foundation, a scholarship program for under-privileged students in the Pottstown area.

Rick resides in Wernersville with his wife and three children.
